A Tribute Shakespeare, A Sonnet
Jaison Chacko
“In fair Verona, on the banks of the Avon
A playwright was born who would forever reign,
Whose words and wit would capture human hearts,
And leave an indelible, immortal stain.
Oh William Shakespeare, master of the stage,
Whose quill did weave the tales of love and hate,
Whose characters lived on long after their age,
And taught us lessons of our human fate.
With sonnets sweet, you wooed the hearts of many,
And tragedies that broke our very soul,
Your comedies, a laugh a plenty,
And histories that left us feeling whole.
So here’s to you, dear bard of Avon’s name,
Your legacy will forever remember
